Idio Chichava: VAGABUNDUS

Idio Chichava brings his award-winning vision to the stage with "VAGABUNDUS", a powerful dance performance from the Mozambican choreographer who just received the 2024 SEDA – European Dance Award, the world's most highly endowed dance prize. Through the dynamic artistry of 13 dancers, inspired by the ritual traditions of the Makonde, this show explores migration as an inherent part of the human experience, going beyond abstract numbers to embody the journey itself. The ensemble creates a "global body" through captivating movement, voices, and intense personal presence, passionately telling a story of constant travel, cohesion, and belonging that truly resonates.
